Shape
Asscher cut diamonds are step cut diamonds. Similar to the emerald cut, they have long rectangular faces that create a hall of mirror effect, however they are square instead of rectangular.
The large open table of an Asscher cut diamond means that any inclusions will be easily noticeable. Therefore, choose an Asscher cut diamond with a VS2 clarity grade or higher. However, a larger diamond will need an even higher clarity grade since inclusions will be more obvious on a larger stone.
Color
I color diamonds are in the near colorless range on the GIA color scale. These diamonds will usually appear colorless to the naked eye. Since I color diamonds are usually indistinguishable from colorless diamonds, they make for a great choice as you will get a white diamond for a better price. I color diamonds are best set in white gold or platinum so as not to detract from the whiteness of the diamond.
Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds that are created in the lab instead of deep inside the earth's crust. They are physically, chemically, and visually identical to earth grown diamonds and are indistinguishable even by a trained gemologist.
The only difference between lab grown diamonds and earth grown diamonds is how they were created. Earth grown diamonds are created under high pressure and temperature deep under the earth's surface, while lab grown diamonds are created under high pressure and temperature(HPHT) in a lab
Lab grown diamonds are typically between 30 and 50 percent cheaper than earth grown diamonds! Therefore they have become a very popular choice for engagement ring, since you can get a bigger size diamond for your budget.
All Ritani lab grown diamonds are certified. Most of our lab grown diamonds are certified by IGI, the most respected independent lab diamond grading labaratory.
